
UN Demands Security Guarantees from Warring Parties in Eastern DRC Amid Ongoing Ceasefire Crisis
The United Nations has issued an ultimatum to warring parties in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, warning that they must provide security guarantees or risk losing access to Goma airport. The airport, the last lifeline to Uvira, a city at the heart of the disputed region's latest conflict, will be closed if the conditions are not met.
